According to the advertisement, the fee is $12 excluding the $20 annual membership fee, and the activity hours are 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Boys & Girls Club is located at 28790 Pujol Street, Temecula, CA 92590, and they can be reached at (951) 699-1526. The banner also reads, “Find us on Facebook,” however, after searching Google for the page, it would appear they don’t update it very often, so you’re probably better off calling for more information.
The Boys & Girls Club in Old Town was founded in 1994, and according to their website, in 2008 served over 8,000 youths.Their about page reads, “The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest County is one of the fastest growing youth development agencies in Southwest Riverside County serving more than six hundred young people each day. With sites located in Temecula, Murrieta and Lake Elsinore, the club known for being “The Positive Place for Kids,” offers several innovative programs and fun activities to provide positive personal growth experiences for the local youth, while in a safe, supervised and structured environment.”
The affectionate (or are they offensive?) “I [Heart] Boobies” bracelets are rapidly becoming a constitutional issue under the banner of free speech.
Two middle school students in Easton, PA, with the help of the ACLU are suing their school district for the students’ suspensions when they wore the controversial bracelets to school, against the school’s policy.
The case would cite free speech, against the opposing view that the bracelets are demeaning and turn the issue of breast cancer into a trite issue.
But are the bracelets lewd or indecent? ACLU lawyer Mary Catherine Roper writes in the lawsuit, “The First Amendment does not allow schools to censor students’ speech merely because some students and teachers are offended by the non-vulgar, educational message, and silencing the speakers because other students may react inappropriately would amount to a constitutionally impermissible heckler’s veto.”
The case is interesting in the sense that it highlights the ever changing use of the English language and what is considered common use, (read: acceptable) or lewd or offensive use.
Word has it that Jesse Venture has found the truth that America has always searched for in the conspiracy surrounding the controversial assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Tonight On TruTv Jesse Venture will be exposing compelling new information including an assassination confession from a major figure in recent US history.
So Far this search term “jfk death bed confession” has became # 1 in the google trends and is labeled volcanic. This means that again the American public will be confronted with the ground breaking question: Did Lee Harvey Oswald act alone or did he have help in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy? If so, then the U.S. Government will have a lot of explaining to do.
What ever the confession might be, we will only have bits and pieces of information that have been trampled on over the years but for some people this type of news is better than a new fiction movie being released at the box office.
Do you think that John F. Kennedy was assassinated by our Government?

WASHINGTON D.C. — A U.S. Senate Panel is investigating the AVANDIA diabetes drug maker. Avandia now believed to have caused over 83,000 heart attacks from 1999 to 2007 alone.
Were you prescribed Avandia? File your report today.
Senator Max Baucus, Chairman of the Committee on Finance, and Senator Chuck Grassley, Ranking Member, released a committee report based on a two year inquiry of the diabetes drug Avandia. The senators also asked the Food and Drug Administration to describe what steps the agency has taken to protect patients in an ongoing Avandia clinical trial, and why the study is allowed to continue, given that the FDA itself estimated that the drug caused approximately 83,000 excess heart attacks between 1999 and 2007. In 2008, FDA officials called the clinical trial, as then-designed, “unethical and exploitative” of patients.
The committee report quotes the senators as saying, “As senior members of the United States Senate and Chairman and Ranking Member of the Committee on Finance (Committee), we have a duty under the Constitution to conduct oversight into the actions of executive branch agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In this capacity, we must ensure that FDA properly fulfill their mission to advance the public’s welfare, safeguard the nation’s drug supply, and protect patients participating in clinical trials.”
“We recently released a report raising concerns about Avandia, a diabetes drug made by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). We began this inquiry after the New England Journal of Medicine published a study in May 2007 warning of the possible cardiovascular risk of Avandia. Our report was based on a review of hundreds of thousands of pages of internal GSK documents and concluded: The totality of evidence suggests that GSK was aware of the possible cardiac risks associated with Avandia years before such evidence became public.… Based on this knowledge, GSK had a duty to sufficiently warn patients and the FDA of its concerns in a timely manner. Instead, GSK executives intimidated independent physicians, focused on strategies to minimize findings that Avandia may increase cardiovascular risk, and sought ways to downplay findings that the rival drug ACTOS (pioglitazone) might reduce cardiovascular risk.”

November 15th, 2010-The California Supreme Court decided unanimously Monday that illegal immigrants may continue to be eligible for in-state tuition rates at state colleges and universities rather than pay the higher, out-of-state tuition rates charged to those who live out of state.
In a ruling written by Justice Ming W. Chin, one of the panel’s more conservative members, the state high court said a California law that guarantees the lower tuition for students who attend California high schools for at least three years and graduate does not conflict with a federal prohibition on giving illegal immigrants educational benefits based on residency.
California is one of many states that permit illegal immigrants to take advantage of lower college tuition for students who attend high school and graduate within the state. An estimated 25,000 illegal immigrants receive in-state tuition rates in California.
College students who are in the country illegally are barred from government financial-aid programs. The U.S. Supreme Court is expected eventually to decide whether the lower tuition rates also violate federal law.
Irvine- A memorial dedicated to fallen soldiers of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars will be dedicated on Sunday in Irvine. The Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial began as an informal collection of photos, wooden posts, and written notes.
It is now made up of 5 granite sentinels that are etched with the 5,714 names of armed service members that sacrificed their lives during the Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom wars.
Great care was taken to ensure each name was accurately represented, and that there were no errors. Official state records were checked against newspaper articles and family testimonies. The memorial is the first of its kind anywhere in the country. Names will continue to be added as the war progresses.
Unlike other veteran memorials, the sentinels only display the name and age of the fallen. Many were in their late teens and early twenties.
The city of Irvine approved the project in 2009 with $150,000 in funding.
The state approved the Port of Long Beach to begin construction on a $950 million project to replace a bridge on a major shipping route.
Port officials announced they have received final clearance from the California Transportation Commission and construction of the bridge will begin in 2011.
The new bridge, which will be a cable-stay design, will be 50 feet higher and have better clearance for larger ships than the current 1960s-era Gerald Desmond Bridge. The new bridge will have three lanes in addition to emergency lanes in each direction to replace the current bridge that only has two lanes going in each direction.
The bridge project is funded with $500 million in state bonds, $300 million from the federal government, $114 million from the port, and $28 million from Los Angeles County.
In addition to bridge work, the project includes the reconstruction of the Terminal Island and Interstate 710 interchanges.
Port officials announced that they are now seeking contractors to design and build the project. The current bridge will remain open during construction.
It is unclear how many jobs the construction project will create.
