No Christmas With Out You 2010 Best Christmas Song Of The Year

No Christmas With Out You 2010 Best Christmas Song Of The Year

In 2010 a young song writer decided to share one of his prize possessions for the Christmas Season. Joel Miller singer songwriter has released a christmas song that is catching the ears of young and old and starting to trend at a volcanic pace.

He says that the song was inspired by Music Industry great Bruce Caplin from Gold River Digital Media. Mr. Caplin was searching for a hit song for his Christmas Ringtones site  when he came across a band called Your Machine.

When the band was asked to write some 30 sec jingle’s for his ringtone library Joel Miller had the perfect hook. From the studio where the recording was in session Bruce Caplins agent made a phone call to him with mere excitement stating that he had to hear this hit song.

From there the 30 second hook was transformed into a full hit single and off to the radio stations. This song is by far a better production than any current Christmas song being released up to date. It is a definite Christmas song to add to your holiday music play-list.

Finch-Officially-Broken-Up

Finch Officially Broken Up

(From their official site)

Dear Finch fans,
….
.. ..
Over the past two years we as a band have obsessed tirelessly trying to bring you the best record Finch has ever made. Blowing everything else out of the water was the only option. If we couldn’t drop the bomb, we wouldn’t blow it up…..
.. ..
….From the beginning what’s always made up the sound of Finch was our ability to take our individual influences, no matter how different, and write music together that stands on it’s own. A tense balancing act on a loose wire where we have had success crossing and also lost balance to fall and be broken. Over the past few years we have collectively gone insane trying to achieve the common goal of writing our new record. It’s become obvious to all of us that the thing that made Finch such a special band to be in, was also the key ingredient that was tearing us apart. As we get older and broaden our musical pallets, we are all on separate planets drifting further and further out of orbit. Finch is our sun, it has given us everything that we have. This year our sun imploded. Although we travel through darkness. It’s comforting to know that we are all still friends. Together floating in the unknown.
….
.. ..
….We want to thank you for your undying love and support of our band. Without you, accomplishing our wildest dreams would not have been possible. We apologize deeply for letting you down. Please forgive us and please keep listening to Finch.
.. ..
Thank you for Finch.
.. ..
-Finch….

Arctic Cirlces Ex Finch

Arctic Cirlces Ex Finch

Daniel Wonacott (ex Finch) wasted no time in 2010 as his band was breaking up, and wrote a powerful, moving and melancholy record about loss. Striking out with his new band Arctic Circles and focusing on honest song writing with echos of Brand New and The Cure, with a delicate vocal delivery reminiscent of Elliot Smith.

The album “Funeral At Sea” speaks mostly about loss, flawed relationships and drips with yearning for something better. What’s most striking is discovering that this band is a three piece, with Nick Buchmiller covering a wide variety of Keyboard sounds and holding down a strong synth-bass foundation.

Kenny Finn is covering drum duties and driving home a pulsing and hypnotic rhythm section.

“Funeral At Sea” feels like a concept record without the theatrical trappings and Arctic Circles definitely play to their strengths, which is creating a moody and melancholy atmosphere and avoiding any comparison to previous projects.

Listen to Arctic Circles previews and read more at their official site.

Coachella

Courtesy of thespacelab.tv:

If it’s true, 2011 could be the biggest Coachella ever. It’s being rumored that The Rolling Stones could play Coachella next year.

“We’ve just learned that the Stones team is very close to finalizing a deal that would bring them to Coachella next April. According to our sources, they’ll pick up a cool $5 million for playing the date,” reads a post from Hits Daily Double.

Coachella 2011 has set its dates for April 15 – 17. No word on the rest of the 2011 lineup, but we’ll have plenty of time play the game of who will be there.

Coachella has emerged to be the coolest of summer music festivals in the U.S. Picking up where Lollapalooza left off, Coachella has become the stamp of approval that lets people know that any band that plays there is very talented and worthy of your attention. It’s located in sunny Indio California, so how can it be bad?

Check out the Spacelab Festival Guide for more information on the Coachella Festival line up, tickets, and other details.

If this isn’t enough evidence

miley cyrus smoking salvia

miley cyrus smoking salvia

that Disney could care less about your kids then i dont know what is. Hanna Montanna now has gone from posing nude with her dad to smoking bong loads of a drug call salvia. She demonstrates exactly how retarded kids look when getting hi for the 1st time. Yes i said retarded.

When a young teenager age 13 to 18 sees this and is a fan of Ms. Miley Cyrus what do you think they will feel? Well when they saw her perform for the 1st time in concert they wanted to go home grab the 1st thing that looked like a guitar and microphone and start acting like Hanna Montana singing the hit song “Best Day Ever” in front of their mirror in their bedroom and that was fine and dandy.

Now they are going to want to know what that stuff is traveling through a glass tube into her mouth and causing her to act like a complete idiot. It looks funny at the first glance but not knowing what the true effect is will be the most dangerous part of this irresponsible act on the part of Miley Cyrus.

Salvia is a said to be legal in the state of California but who said that its safe?  In a study on this drug researchers found that Salvia has been known to re-trigger panic attacks, schizophrenia relapses and borderline personality traits. This can cause symptoms such as suicidal thoughts, depression, anti-social acts, fighting, anger and uncontrollable crying to surface. Most symptoms are reported to subside once the salvia wears off but in some it can trigger a relapse due to certain memories or parts of the brain being stimulated by the drug.

This is just another gateway to drug use and next will be smoking pot, eating mushrooms or acid (lsd), smoking speed, snorting cocain, shooting heroin, eating pain killers and so on.
If this is what your children are learning from the Disney role models then whats next? I say this should be enough to no longer call Hanna Montana a role model for kids.

Small Business Saturday (SBS) is a fantastic idea, one that we’re excited about for obvious reasons. (We’re a small business!)

Small Business Saturday asks consumers to pause their spending and to redirect it to small businesses around the country and to purchase from them. After all, real people make up the fabric of our economy, real people with great ideas, but who definitely do not have a million dollar advertising budget.

So while this may not exactly be ‘news’ in the traditional sense, it’s news to you, because you’ve probably never heard of these small businesses before. Here’s our Small Business Saturday contribution, in no particular order:
